Recipe for
homemade Cranberry bread
Cranberry
Bread
Bake at 350’ for 50 minutes
2 cups sifted all purpose flour
¾ cup sugar
1½ cups fresh or frozen cranberries
halved
½ cup orange juice
2 tbsp grated orange rind
¾ cups chopped walnuts
1½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
1 egg
3tbsp melted butter
2 tbsp hot water

Sift flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda
and salt into a large bowl.

Beat egg lightly in a small bowl. Stir in orange
rind and juice, butter and hot water. Add to dry ingredients, mix thoroughly.
Fold in cranberries and nuts.
·
Turn batter into a well greased 9x5x3 inch loaf
pan.
·
Bake in a moderate oven for 50 minutes.
·
Remove from pan, cool on wire rack.
Strawberries
and Blueberries Both Contain Resveratrol.
Include in
your smoothies for good health.
Banana and
Strawberries Smoothie
One banana cut into pieces
Two cups of frozen strawberries
One cup of soy milk
Half teaspoon vanilla extract
Half cup rolled oats
Honey if required
Place ingredients in blender.
Add vanilla and honey last.
Cherry and
Blueberries Smoothie
One cup frozen cherries
One cup frozen blueberries
One cup soy milk
Half cup lemon yogurt
Place frozen cherries and
Blueberries in blender
Add remaining ingredients
Blend until smooth.
