Fresh Fruit Chutney And Other Recipes

                                                                                                                         















Fresh Fruit Chutney
This recipe contains raisins which are rich in resveratrol.
450g cooking apples peel and chop
100g raisins
1 mango, peel and chop
225g sugar
1 onion finely chopped
125ml cider
½ tsp each of mustard powder and salt
Method
·       Combine all the ingredients in a mixing bowl.
·       Microwave uncovered at high for 20 minutes.
·       Sir a few times while cooking.
·       Cover and cool in refrigerator.
















Strawberry-Kiwi Salad
2 oranges, peeled and sliced across the sections
2 cups strawberries, sliced
2 large kiwi fruit, peeled and sliced
1 small banana, peeled and sliced
1 tbsp currants
Method
Mix the strawberries, kiwi fruit, currants and bananas in a large bowl
Cut orange wheels and place in a plate, adding the mixture of fruit on top.
Serve with fruit dip.
Fruit Dip
One banana and ½ cup strawberries
Puree in a blender.
















Fruit Smoothie
1 cup apple juice
1 frozen banana
2 cups strawberries
Place all the ingredients in a blender
Blend until smoothie
Fresh Almond Milk
¼ cup raw almonds
1 cup water
Method
·       Blanch the almonds by adding them to a skillet containing ½ inch boiling water. Boil for about thirty seconds.
·       Drain and remove the skins
·       Place the blanched almonds in a blender with one cup of cold water.
·       Run the blender on high for 3 minutes until a thick white milk has formed.
·       Milk made from almonds are a good source of easily assimilated calcium and they are delicious. This milk has been used for centuries in Europe, Asia and American Indians.

Strawberry Shake
1 cup fresh almond milk
2 frozen bananas
7 strawberries   
Method
Place the almond milk and fruit in blender.
Blend until thick and creamy.

Strawberry shakes are nutritious and contain resveratrol which have many health benefits.
