Chocolate Cake With Strawberries Recipe




Delicious Chocolate Cake With Strawberries:

Ingredients:

- 2 cups all-purpose flour

- 1 3/4 cups granulated sugar

- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda

- 1 teaspoon salt

- 2 large eggs

- 1 cup milk

- 1/2 cup vegetable oil

- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

- 1 cup boiling water

- Fresh strawberries, sliced (for garnish)

For the chocolate ganache:

- 1 cup heavy cream

- 8 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped


Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.

2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix well.

3. Add the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Beat on medium speed for about 2 minutes until well combined.

4. Stir in the boiling water. The batter will be thin, but that's normal.

5. Pour the batter evenly into the prepared cake pans.

6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cakes comes out clean.

7. Remove the cakes from the oven and let them cool in the pans for about 10 minutes. Then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.

8. While the cakes are cooling, prepare the chocolate ganache. In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it starts to simmer. Remove from heat and add the chopped chocolate. Let it sit for a minute, then stir until smooth and well combined. Set aside to cool and thicken slightly.

9. Once the cakes have cooled, place one cake layer on a serving plate. Spread a layer of chocolate ganache on top. Place some sliced strawberries on top of the ganache.

10. Place the second cake layer on top and frost the entire cake with the remaining chocolate ganache.

11. Garnish the cake with more sliced strawberries on top.

12. Slice and serve the chocolate cake with fresh strawberries on the side.
