Health Benefits of Resveratrol

Health Benefits of Resveratrol

Resveratrol found in grapes and red wine contains powerful polypherol and anti-fungal chemicals. It promotes anti-ageing, longevity and provides protection against degenerative diseases.

Grapes contain vitamins A, C, B1, B6, Vitamin K and folic acid as well as minerals like potassium, calcium, iron, phosphorus, magnesium and selenium.  Resveratrol in grapes contain powerful antioxidants and anti-fungal chemicals.

Research on Resveratrol

Research by Cornell University plant scientists showed that resveratrol might be responsible for the cardiovascular benefits of red wine. Reveratrol may protect against cancer, heart disease, vascular dementia, alzheimer’s disease and support longevity.
One possibility is that resveratrol turns on genes that make sirtuins, ancient proteins found in virtually all species. Activating sirtuins kicks off a response that fights disease and prolongs life.
More research needs to be done

Grapes inhibit ‘bad’ cholesterol and plaque build-up in the arteries.
Resveratrol found in grapes is anti-inflammatory and is effective for keeping the heart healthy. It is also found in red wine and is a type of polyphenol which is found in the skins of red grapes. Studies confirm that drinking grape products and other foods containing polyphenols is associated with a decreased risk of cardiovascular disease by preventing platelet build-up.

Protects eyes against cataracts

Eating grapes which contain resveratrol or taking a supplement, protects your eyes against cataracts and may also help with retinal detachment.

Alzheimer’s disease

Resveratrol found in grapes and red wine is beneficial for treating Alzheimer’s disease.  It appears to stabilize levels of amyloid–beta 40, when taken in concentrated doses and prevents further buildup of the protein in the brain. More studies need to be done.

Osteoporosis

Grapes are rich in boron, a trace mineral as well as resveratrol which help to maintain healthy bones and prevent osteoporosis.

Dr Johanna Brandt Grape Cure

In the 1920s, Dr Johanna Brandt cured herself from stomach cancer.
The cancer cells perish from the nutrients in grapes, which research have confirmed are cancer killers. Research on longevity has linked several grape phytonutrients, especially resveratrol, which has the ability to increase oxygen and nutrients to the body’s cells. It also removes brain damaging plaques and free radicals. These have been linked to Alzheimer’s disease. For more information on Dr Brandt’s cancer cure,

Resveratrol- Aid in Health and Anti-ageing

Research indicates that resveratrol fights many degenerative diseases. More research is needed as tests have only been done on animals. Dr David Sinclair, a researcher of genetics at Harvard Medical School discovered that resveratrol could increase cell survival and slow down ageing in mice by activating a gene for longevity.
Dr Sinclair is known for his anti-ageing research.

Supplement for Men’s Health

Resveratrol Increases Testosterone levels in men and research shows it improves fertility. Testosterone strengthens bones and increases muscle mass. Resveratrol crosses the blood-brain barrier, giving support to the brain and nervous system. It also protects against many age related diseases. Studies have shown resveratrol’s ability to reduce oxidative stress from free radical damage. It also makes platelets in the bloodstream less sticky.

Prevents cancer
Grapes, especially red grapes contain a cancer preventing compound The plant compound resveratrol has been linked to many health benefits, including cancer prevention. Resveratrol are also found in a variety of other foods and berries, such as in peanuts, blueberries, red wine, cranberries, chocolates, pomegranates, red raspberries, strawberries, blackberries and mulberries.
